Germany’s Kristina Vogel loses bike seat, beats Britain’s Rebecca James for sprint gold

Germany’s Kristina Vogel outraced Great Britain’s Rebecca James in two-straight sprints to grab the gold medal. Despite losing her seat near the finish of the final race, Vogel kept her speed up to win her first gold. She picked up a bronze medal for the team sprint already in Rio. She also won gold for team pursuit in London.

Becky James took the sprint silver medal; she also took home the silver for women’s keirin.

Katy Marchant outraced Elis Litgtlee for the bronze medal. Litglee won gold earlier this week in the women’s keirin, but she was outmatched in her two sprints against Marchant.
