Golfer Lexi Thompson is hoping to compete at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janiero.

It will be the first time for golf to be played at the Olympics since the 104 games held in St. Louis.

The tournament will feature two events- the men’s and women’s individual events.

The 21-year old fro Coral Springs, Florida has seven LPGA Tour wins and was ranked fourth women’s world golfer last year.

She is also currently ranked fourth in the world.

Thompson says she is ready for Rio.
