Gray was the oldest of four daughters in the family. She began wrestling at the age of 6. But when she competed, Gray had to wrestle against boys. Soon, Adeline began consistently winning matches against the boys. And then she began winning medals. Gray placed 5th against the boys at a Colorado state tournament in 2003. A win at a Denver Public Schools tournament helped launch her career. Gray has racked up loads of hardware in her career. Now Gray (green ring) will be getting to fulfill her dream of competing at the Olympics. As a young girl in wrestling, Adeline Gray grew up competing against boys.
