“Haha, we’re not telling you yet!” Biles finished as the her four teammates, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian, burst into laughter.

“We’ll announce it after the team final, our team name,” Raisman explained.

Immediately after the team was named, fans noticed that the first initials of the five women—Gabby, Laurie, Aly, Madison and Simone—spell out GLAMS. The nickname #GLAMSquad was born, but the gymnasts themselves shot it down.

“I think it’s cute, but that’s not going to be our name,” Raisman said. “I feel like it doesn’t really fit the athletes.”

They’re following in the Fierce Five’s and Magnificent Seven’s footsteps in going for an Olympic team gold medal. The champions of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics played no role in naming themselves, while McKayla Maroney came up with the 2012’s team’s moniker.

Douglas and Raisman were members of the Fierce Five, as well.
