CAMBRIDGE, MASS. (WHDH) - Two men have been injured in separate shootings in Cambridge early Saturday morning.

Police say a man was shot in the arm while sitting in a car in Cambridge at 12:17 a.m. Saturday.

A 20-year-old man from Somerville was also shot in the arm near Washington and Cherry Streets in Cambridge around 1:23 a.m according to a press release issued by Cambridge police.

The men were taken to area hospitals with injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening.

Two cars parked in the area of Cherry St. and one home were also struck by bullets.

Police say it is not known if the shootings, which remain under investigation, were connected.
