CUPERTINO, CA (WHDH) — The Apple Corporation announced Monday that more than 100 new and redesigned emoji characters will be available to iPhone and iPad users when the new iOS is released this fall.

Though a specific date has not yet been announced, Apple released some pictures of the new emojis that will be available.

In a statement, Apple says the focus is on adding gender options, including “new female athletes and professionals” and says the company is “working closely with the Unicorde Consortium to ensure that popular emoji characters reflect the diversity of people everywhere.”

Among some of the new additions include new family options, new athletes and sports, and a rainbow flag.
