NFL player’s magic skills gets him ‘golden buzzer’ on ‘America’s Got Talent’

LOS ANGELES (WHDH) - An NFL player got the coveted “golden buzzer” when he impressed the judges with his magic skills.

Jon Dorenbos, a long snapper for the Philadelphia Eagles, is a magician in his spare time. Guest judge Ne-Yo was so impressed with Dorenbos’ magic trick that he gave him the golden buzzer, which automatically sends him to the live Hollywood shows later this month.

Dorenbos has been with the Eagles since 2006. He said he learned magic to help cope after his mother was murdered by his father when he was a child.

“America’s Got Talent” continues Wednesday at 8 p.m., with guest judge Reba McEntire.
