A 13-year-old boy was struck and killed by a train in Dedham on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities have identified the victim as a 13-year-old boy from Dedham.
Around 4:20 p.m., Transit Police Officers responded to Endicott Station for a report of a person possibly struck by a Franklin line train.
The victim was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
At this point it is not known why the boy had been on the tracks at the time.
The Norfolk District Attorney’s office is investigating.
