HYDE PARK (WHDH) — Boston Firefighters battled at large fire in a two-family home in Hyde Park.

The fire burned on Austin Street and firefighters said they were called there at 10:07 a.m.

Several fire companies were on scene battling the fire which is in the rear of the building.

Officials said a woman watching her 15-month-old granddaughter smelled smoke and rushed to get the girl out of the house.

“My mom just called me frantically, saying there’s a fire, I just told her to get her and my daughter out of the house immediately and when I rushed out I just saw the smoke from a mile away, and I just freaked out,” the baby’s mother said.

No injuries have been reported.

Two adults and four children were displaced by the fire.

The fire has seen been extinguished.

The fire is not believed to be suspicious.
