MANCHESTER, N.H. (WHDH) — Surveillance video showed the first man with a bandanna covering his face, immediately come in to a tattoo parlor and start smashing a glass case. A second man followed shortly after.

“It’s a little frightening that this is what it’s come to. That people can’t shop like normal shoppers, they have to break in, they have to steal,” said the general manager Spider Bite, Emily Deyermond.

It was anything but normal shopping. The owner of Spider Bite said the thieves used a five finger discount to get away with $3,000 dollars worth of merchandise from this humidor.

“We have to make sure it’s not somebody that we recognize from the shop. We look for identifiable tattoos or clothing…[but] they were well covered, sort of planned for it,” said Deyermond.

She said they knew what they were doing. They used a rock to break in the glass door and covered their elbows to break the humidor and steal tobacco products. Looking at the surveillance video, they were in and out with the alarm ringing in less than a minute.

The cops showed up within three minutes but the thieves had already gotten away.

“They’re running on a time limit, so they’re going to come in, they’re going to get what they can sell on the street easily that’s not identifiable,” said Deyermond.

Police told Deyermond that they have found someone with tobacco products like the ones stolen from Spider Bite but that this point they have no proof.
