VERGENNES, Vt. (AP) — Three people have been injured in an explosion at the UTC Aerospace Systems plant in Vergennes, Vermont.
The town police chief says one person was taken to the hospital after a dust collector on the outside of the building blew up Friday.
The extent of that person’s injuries was unknown. The explosion caused interior damage.
All employees have been evacuated.
UTC Aerospace Systems supplies aerospace and defense products. It’s headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, and employs 41,000 people worldwide, according to its website.
