BOSTON (WHDH) - The Boston City Council reportedly considered changes to the process for appointing constables.

The move comes after 33-year-old Kirk P. Figueroa shot two Boston police officers, Richard Cintolo and Matthew Morris.

Figueroa had been sworn in as a Boston constable in July after a background check failed to identify the past crimes he committed in other states.
