JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Police officers from two agencies rescued six people after their boat capsized in New York Harbor.

The motorboat took on water near Ellis Island and overturned within minutes. New York City Police and U.S. Park Police raced to the scene and rescued all six people on board. A dock worker who works for a Statue of Liberty tour company also jumped in to help.

The people on the boat were taken to a hospital in New Jersey with minor injuries.
