KANSAS CITY, Mo. (NBC) — Seven people were injured in a rolling gun battle spanning eight blocks in Kansas City, Missouri.
Police, responding to a shots fired call overnight, found people shooting at each other.
They then then heard numerous shots in the surrounding area and saw gunfire coming from vehicles.
Police called for a city-wide assist, bringing out law enforcement officers from surrounding agencies.
When it was over, the crime scene spanned eight blocks.
One person was critically wounded, the other six have non-life threatening injuries.
There is no word on what started the shooting.
