A new study suggests getting recipes from your favorite cooking shows may lead to some extra pounds.

A team from Cornell University surveyed 500 women under age 35 about how they found recipes.

Those who got the information from cooking shows and who often made meals from scratch tended to weigh 11 pounds more than those who got recipes from other places.

Experts suspect TV shows might allow viewers to feel it’s okay to indulge in bigger portions or less nutritious food.
