7News teams up with charities for Boston Wiffle Ball Challenge

BOSTON (WHDH) - Wiffle ball fans took the field for a good cause in Allston.

Members of the 7News team joined in on the action, and swung for the fences.

Teaming up at the 6th annual Boston Wiffle Ball Challenge, the 7News team joined Boston actor Lenny Clarke, who emceed the event.

The fun and games was all for a good cause, which raises money for Franciscan Children’s patients and the Travis Roy Foundation, helping those with spinal cord injuries.

Tim Caputo gave a lights out performance on the mound, but was downright dangerous at the plate.

Meanwhile, Susan Tran, who was the queen of the smack talk, also backed it up on the plate.

The 7News team had a great time helping out an excellent cause.
