A bicyclist in Worcester was killed after colliding with a tow truck Thursday night.

Worcester Police responded to 525 Southbridge Street Thursday night after 11 p.m. for a report of a man who was unconscious in the road.

Police found a 45-year-old man who was suffering from serious injuries. The man was partially under the bed of a tow truck with his bicycle nearby.

Paramedics rushed the man to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police determined that the man was riding his bicycle on Southbridge Street when he had a heart attack and collided with the tow truck. The truck was legally parked and unoccupied, according to police.

The victim’s name has not been released.
