NASHUA, N.H. (WHDH) — Hazmat crews investigated a death in Nashua New Hampshire Saturday.

They searched an apartment complex for hours, but Dianna Cushman made the disturbing discovery.

“Just her wrapped up in the bathroom, wrapped up in a shower curtain,” said Cushman.

Friends identified the body as a woman in her 40s, a longtime tenant and good friend to Cushman.

“I’ve already done my freaking out for the day. Just trying to, I’ll never get the image out of my head. I’ve found a few tenants dead due to natural causes before and that’s not what I found in there,” said Cushman.

New Hampshire’s Attorney General’s office confirmed it’s investigating the death, but so far authorities haven’t said whether it’s considered suspicious.

“And then you find out it’s someone you know and it’s like, I have three young children, so what do you do? Where do you run to? You can’t hide from anything. It’s more shocking and scary to me to know that this stuff is close, especially somebody that you personally know,” said one man.

“To find out that it’s somebody I know, I mean that’s a little more shocking than anything,” said another man.

Friends said the woman frequented the neighborhood all the time. They haven’t seen her since around the fourth of July. Investigators are wondering just how long has the body been there.
