HALIFAX, MASS. (WHDH) - The body of a kayaker who has been missing since Friday has been found on a Halifax pond, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz.

Halifax police responded to a call for a report of a man struggling in the water along a kayak at Silver Lake in Halifax just after 1:00 p.m.

Police could not locate the victim, and contacted the Massachusetts Environmental Police, State Police Dive Team and the Plymouth County Search and Rescue Team.

Two Massachusetts State Police divers recovered the body Sunday afternoon, after it was detected by side-scan sonar.

Police identified the body as that of the missing kayaker, 28-year-old Kenny Hu.
