HICKSVILLE, NY (WHDH) — A Boston Marathon bombing survivor is teaming up with a New York prosthetics company to give a woman a new leg.

The Heather Abbott Foundation is providing Savannah Booth with a state of the art prosthetic leg.

The 21-year-old lost part of her leg when she was only a year old.

Booth said she has had several prosthetics, but none look more realistic than the new one.

“I’m really excited, I’m excited to finally look down and see ten toes.Psychologically for me I can finally look down and not feel like something is missing,” Booth said.

Booth said with the prosthetic leg she can finally wear summer shoes.
