BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston police are looking for a suspect responsible for shooting a teenager Monday night.

It happened on Gavin Way in South Boston around 11:30 p.m.

According to police, the 15-year-old was shot three times while he was in a car.

The person driving the car immediately took the teen to Boston Medical Center where he had surgery.

His injuries are reported to be serious.

Doctors told police he has a good chance of surviving.

No arrests have been made.

Police are investigating.
