BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston Police shot and killed a man who repeatedly swung a knife at officers in the South End.
Just after midnight on Sunday, officials said they received a 911 call from a mother asked for help with her son.
Officials said the 31-year-old man, with a history of mental illness, pulled a knife on paramedics who were trying to help him.
That is when police stepped in.
When he swung a knife at the officer, other officers began firing.
Some police officers and two paramedics were injured in the incident.
All have been taken to area hospitals.
