BROCKTON, MASS. (WHDH) - Brockton Police say they’ve found the car involved in a hit-and-run.

They are still searching for driver behind the wheel.

Officials said they received a tip from the owner of the car; when he came home he found it with a significant amount of damage.

Investigators determined it was the car involved in the hit-and-run.

The incident happened early Friday morning on North Main Street in front of The Spot Bar and Lounge.

A group was crossing the street when a 25-year-old man was hit by a car. The driver did not stop.

The man was initially taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, and he was later transported to Beth Israel Hospital.

The investigation is active.
