BURLINGTON, MASS. (WHDH) - Police have arrested a man who is accused of assaulting an MBTA bus driver Saturday afternoon.
According to officials, transit police received a call that a bus driver had been assaulted.
The suspect, identified as Daniel Koolick, 21 of Burlington, was traveling on a bus to the Burlington Mall when he asked to get off of the bus. The driver said Koolick would have to wait for another designated stop, less than a minute away.
According to authorities, Koolick became angry, screaming and kicking doors and windows. Koolick then allegedly grabbed the driver by the throat and screamed,” Do you want to die?”
Koolick then left the bus and ran away. While police were on the scene, Koolick returned to retrieve his cell phone, where he was arrested.
