WASHINGTON (WHDH) - The U.S. Capitol’s Christmas tree arrived in Washington D.C. Monday after a long trip across the country.

This year’s tree arrived from the Payette National Forest in Idaho. The tree will be decorated with ornaments made by Idaho citizens.

The tree will officially be lit on Dec. 6 on the Capitol’s West Lawn.
