Police are looking for the suspect who broke into several cars before lighting them on fire in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

"At 4 a.m., I heard a pop, then saw the orange light," said Cathy Youngs. One of the cars broken into and set on fire belonged to her roommate, Michael Rice. He said the fire burnt the inside down to the frame.

Nine vehicles were reported broken into across Portsmouth and six of them were set on fire. Police said it appears the suspect only went after cars that were left unlocked.

Anyone with information on the thefts and fires is asked to call the Portsmouth Police Department at 603-436-2145. People who had their cars broken into are also asked to contact police.
