A young dancer from Chelsea joined Justin Bieber on stage at the TD Garden Tuesday night.

Jazmin Johnson, 13, performed onstage as one of Bieber’s backup dancers. She was picked to dance with the pop star at TD Garden, one of the stops on his world tour. Jazmin was picked after her mother filmed her dancing and submitted the audition online.

“I was so excited when I got the email, I was completely silent and then I screamed through the whole restaurant,” said Jazmin.

Jazmin already has experience dancing at TD Garden. Her dance group, Lil Phunk, performs at Boston Celtics games. She says dancing with Bieber will be different for her.

“Justin Bieber, he’s so big and I never imagined ever being next to someone so big on a stage.”

Jazmin said she always dances with a purpose. Her dance group always dances for their teacher’s son, who has Sanfilippo syndrome.
