NEWTON, MASS. (WHDH) - A teenage boy was rushed to the hospital after he was hit Friday by a car in Newton.

Police said the 16-year-old was riding a bicycle on Watertown Street when he was hit.

The teenager was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Mark Levine, who witnessed the teen get hit, said the teen was bleeding from the head.

The 63-year-old driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with police. Levine said the driver owns a furniture moving company and was turning into his business when he hit the teen.

It is not known if the driver will face charges.
