When we think of mid to late July, we tend to think of hazy, hot and humid weather.  Certainly last year, that was the case, but this pattern is different, and we’ll file another coolish July day in the books today.

While we tend to have a lot of clouds, there won’t be a lot of rain.  I can’t rule out a passing light shower or sprinkle through the day, but many hours are dry out there.  The best chance for a few showers is across the Cape and Islands, especially over the Islands this morning. This afternoon, we may even see more breaks of sun through the clouds north and west of Boston.  With winds onshore, temps hold near 70 at the beach, but warm to the mid to upper 70s inland.

The pattern overall is mostly dry the next 7 days.  The heat and humidity return Tuesday and Wednesday with just an isolated afternoon storm inland.  There will be a better chance for a passing shower or storm Thursday morning with a cool front, although rain may not be all that widespread.  On the other side of that front, we lower the humidity again, and enjoy great weather to end the week and start next weekend with highs in the lower 80s and returning sunshine.

Have a great Sunday!
