Southern California firefighters worked to battle a blaze that erupted from a local business Friday.
Los Angeles County fire officials said the three-alarm fire broke out around 4:00 p.m. Pacific time in Hawthorne.
They said the fire gutted a 99-cents only store, causing the roof to collapse and sending plumes of black smoke into the sky.
Nearby businesses were evacuated as a precaution as multiple agencies worked to contain the blaze.
There is no word on any injuries.
Investigators are working to determine the cause.
