A documentary focusing on Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz is set to premiere Thursday night.
The new film is called, “David Ortiz In the Moment”.
It follows Big Papi throughout 2013 and includes his reactions to the Boston Marathon bombing, as well as the team’s run to the World Series Championship.
Ortiz said the film gives fans a great look at what he does both on and off the field.
“It’s a lot of hard work. There is a lot of struggle behind the scenes that people don’t really know,” said Ortiz. “It takes a lot to get myself to that point and those are the things that I would like people to get to know about myself.”
“David Ortiz In the Moment” premieres on the online Network “EPIX” at 8 p.m.
