Denver airport ramp closed due to suspicious package

DENVER (AP) — A ramp for departing passengers has been closed at Denver International Airport after a suspicious item was found Thursday morning.

The bomb squad has been called in to examine the item.

Airport spokesman Heath Montgomery says departing passenger traffic is being diverted from the west side of the airport to the east side while police investigate.

The area on the west side of the airport has been roped off while police investigate.
