WELLESLEY, MASS. (WHDH) - Police found the body of a missing 35-year-old boater in Morses Pond in Wellesley.
Dive teams began searching Morses Pond after a call came in around 1:30 p.m.
The initial search and rescue effort was suspended, as officials began searching for the body of the missing boater.
Police said the man was doing landscaping on a home on College Road.
The man took out a canoe on the pond by himself and wasn’t wearing a lifejacket.
A short time later, other members of the landscaping crew realized he was in trouble and called 911.
Multiple dive teams were on scene searching for the man.
Divers located the man just after 4:30 p.m.
The man has not yet been identified.
