Gatlinburg, TN (WHDH) —  Dolly Parton is lending her support to those back home in Tennessee as wildfires ravage the state.

Parton’s theme park, Dollywood itself, was spared but the devastation still hits close to home.

Now the 70-year-old has pledged to donate $1,000 per month, for six months, to each family in Sevier County who lost their home in the wildfires.

“Now I have always believed that charity begins at home,” said Parton, “and that is why I’ve asked my Dollywood companies to help me establish MyPeoplesFund.

The Dollywood foundation is accepting donations online.  If you’d like to help out, that link is available on our website at whdh.com.
