HERMINIE, Penn. (WHDH) — An anonymous donor extended a helping hand to a Pennsylvania elementary school, paying off lunch accounts for the students just before the holidays.

Dr. Amy Larcinese, the principal of H.W. Good Elementary School in Herminie, said several of the students had overdue balances on their lunch accounts.

“I know that it’s not that they don’t want to pay their account balances, they just can’t afford to do it right now,” said Larcinese.

An anonymous donor visited the school this week and presented Larcinese with a check. The money paid off all the account balances and even paid for a child’s lunch for the rest of the month. The man wanted to remain anonymous but Larcinese said his child attended the school years ago.

“He just wanted to give back to the district. It’s an amazing feeling someone would want to help as many students as they have,” said Larcinese.
