A driver appeared in court on Wednesday after a fatal crash in Roslindale on Tuesday.
Jaidys Pimental-Pena is facing motor vehicle homicide charges.
A judge ordered her held on $1,000 bail.
According to police, she hit an 88-year-old woman in Roslindale as the woman was walking down Washington Street.
The woman was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
According to police, the driver stayed at the scene.
She is due back in court in February.
