SANTA CLARA, Calif. (WHDH) — A driver was killed when he crashed his car during a street race in California.
Police said the driver lost control of his car and slammed into a tree in Santa Clara. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The impact of the crash was so intense debris was sent flying over a retaining wall.
Police said the driver was racing a gray Acura and they are now looking for the car and driver, who took off from the scene.
