VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON (WHDH) — A storm has ripped through the southern part of Washington state leaving behind a mess in some neighborhoods.
Walt Gear was home alone Saturday afternoon when the winds really started picking up.
He said he heard a “cracking, crashing” sound and walked upstairs to find the top of a maple tree pierced through his roof and kitchen ceiling.
After calling this place home for 40 years, the Gears know things like this can happen in the Pacific Northwest and they were just glad no one was hurt.
