Fire breaks out in building under construction in the South End

BOSTON (WHDH) — Crews were on the scene of a fire in Boston’s South End Wednesday night.

The fire started at a building under construction on Cumberland Street. Firefighters said the fire began in the basement and rose to the first floor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
