HAVERHILL, MASS. (WHDH) - A fire forced a family out of their home in Haverhill overnight.

Officials said the fire broke out just before 2 a.m. on Sunday on Phillip Street.

Two grandparents and two grandchildren were inside the home when the fire broke out.

Firefighters remained on scene Sunday morning to control any hot spots.

Crews estimate damages will cost around $100,000.

The two grandparents said they will make sure their grandsons, ages 11 and 13, will still have Christmas as planned.

The Red Cross has placed the family in a hotel for the time being. They said they also have a lot of family supporting them in the area.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
