BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston firefighters extinguished a vehicle fire that broke out in the Boston Common garage Friday afternoon and sent a cloud of smoke across the area.
An older model BMW, which was parked on the bottom floor of the underground garage, was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived at the scene.
Cellphone video captured flames shooting from the car and smoke gushing out of air vents in the garage.
Employees of the garage used fire extinguishers to contain the blaze while they waited for firefighters to arrive at the scene.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
