BOSTON (AP) — A former capo in the New England Mafia has been arrested in Florida.

A spokeswoman for the FBI office in Boston says 71-year-old Robert DeLuca was arrested Monday morning in Coral Springs.

Kristen Setera declined to say what charges he faces, noting the case is still under seal.

She says DeLuca is set to make his initial appearance in federal court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, later Monday.

He was among the mobsters captured on an FBI tape being inducted into La Cosa Nostra in 1989 during a ceremony in Medford, Massachusetts. DeLuca later cooperated with law enforcement officials.

Setera says the Boston FBI office and other law enforcement agencies in Rhode Island and Massachusetts were involved in his arrest Monday.
