HAMPTON, N.H. (WHDH) - Police in Hampton, New Hampshire say they arrested a woman on Tuesday on drunk driving charges.

Police received a complaint that a person was driving recklessly near Route 101 in Hampton. An officer pulled over the car driven by Heather Kent, 29 of Amesbury.

The officer determined that Kent was under the influence of alcohol and that she had a 4-year-old in the car.

Police say they found an open container of alcohol in the car as well.

Kent agreed to a breath test, which registered at a 0.16, twice the legal limit.

A passenger in the car, Jason Nelson, 41 of Seabrook, New Hampshire, gave a false name to officers and was charged with False Reports to Law Enforcement.

Kent has been charged with driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child, and other charges. She will appear in Seabrook District Court on Sept. 27.
