WASHINGTON (AP) — A House committee says the head of security operations at the Transportation Security Administration has been removed from the job.

The House Oversight Committee posted on Twitter Tuesday that “Kelly Hoggan has been removed from his position.”

The Associated Press has obtained a memo sent by TSA that does not mention Hoggan but names an acting replacement.

It says, “Darby LaJoye will serve as the Acting Assistant Administrator of the Office of Security Operations.”

LaJoye has directed security at Los Angeles International Airport in California and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

TSA is not saying where Hoggan has been reassigned.
