CHELMSFORD, MASS. (WHDH) - One person is dead after a crash in Chelmsford Saturday morning.
The crash happened early Saturday morning near exit 35 on 495.
The truck struck a pedestrian who was walking in the travel lane.
Investigators say he was chasing his dog when the truck hit him.
The pedestrian, a 39 year old man from Bradford, Maine, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was taken to Lowell Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
He was identified as a 61-year-old man from Chelmsford.
No charges were filed and the cause of the crash in under investigation.
The highway was shut down from Chelmsford to exit 37 in Lowell.
