(WHDH) – Hostess Brands is voluntarily recalling some of its snack cakes after its supplier announced undeclared peanut residue.

The company is recalling more than 710,000 cases of snack cakes and donuts after its flour supplier, Grain Craft, announced that certain lots of flour had peanut residue.

Some of the most popular snack products like Ding Dongs, Zingers, chocolate donuts, and others are affected by the recall.

Hostess says that the amount of peanut residue is low, but those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanut allergens run the risk of severe allergic reaction.

The company has received two reports of allergic reactions related to the products in the recall.
