BOSTON (WHDH) - Investigators determined the cause of the Charlestown fire was an electrical short circuit in the ceiling of the laundromat.
The laundromat is Monument Laundromat which was featured in the movie “The Town.”
It is located at 144 Bunker Hill St.
The building caught fire Friday morning in frigid temperatures, which made it dangerous and very difficult for crews to put out.
Six apartments were damaged, and more than 20 people were forced out of their homes.
