LAWRENCE, MASS. (WHDH) - Police and other investigators made a new plea Thursday asking for any information in connection with a decades-old missing child case in Lawrence.
Angelo “Andy” Puglisi was last seen late in the afternoon on Aug. 21, 1976 at Higgins Memorial Pool on Crawford Street. Police believe the 10-year-old boy was kidnapped.
Clear Channel donated electronic billboard space for new missing child posted featuring Andy’s picture to go up.
Andy’s childhood friend Melanie Perkins spoke at the news conference Thursday and said he will always be welcomed home.
“If Andy is by any chance still out there and sees this broadcast I want to be sure that he knows that no matter what happened that day, it’s not your fault. No matter what might have happened after that day, it’s not your fault. Your community loves you, we will always love you and we will always welcome you home no matter what,” said Perkins.
