NEWTON, MASS. (WHDH) - The driver accused in a deadly crash at a pizza restaurant in Newton earlier this year was in court Thursday.

The judge in the case is deciding whether to allow a “statement of facts” should be filed.

A statement of facts summarizes the case. The defense is fighting this but the family of one of the two victims addressed the court, asking for the statements to be filed.

Driver Bradford Casler pleaded not guilty to two counts of motor vehicle homicide. Two people were killed at Sweet Tomatoes in Newton back in March when police said Casler drove his car through the restaurant.
