A grand jury has indicted quarterback Johnny Manziel for misdemeanor assault, and a formal announcement will be made Monday.
A grand jury heard the case involving the former Browns quarterback last week.
Manizel was accused of hitting his ex-girlfriend at a Dallas hotel in January.
She said Manziel hit her so severely that he burst one of her eardrums.
